Abbott Winery produces 13 varitals of premium wine. The remarkable fruity wines produced at the winery are from Abbott's rocky, hillside vineyards on top of "Red Mountain" which is located at 1800 feet, with soils of red clay and alluvial.
The Bernardus Estate purchased in 1989 was the fifth winery to establish vineyards in the Carmel Valley. The vineyards consist of 220 acres that are surrounded by the Santa Lucia Mountains. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc.
The name “Bonterra” means good earth. Bonterra wines are made from 100% organically grown grapes, using traditional methods of viticulture. The winery is proud to work along with nature to produce their fine organic wines. In Bonterra's vineyards, they do not use any pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.

Chalone Vineyard is named for a tribe of Costanoan Indians that once inhabited the remote area of the Gavilan Mountains in Monterey County. The hills where the vines are planted, and where the winery now stands, have an extremely dry climate and sparse limestone soil. Chalone bases it's winemaking techniques on traditional Burgundian methods and have adapted to the unique climate and soil. Chalone Vineyard produces small lots of table wines., all of which are estate bottled.
Christine Woods Winery, established in 1985, makes their wines using only grapes that have been grown in their own vineyards. This family owned winery grows their grapes and makes their wine at the same location. They are one of the few wineries that do this.
Fife Vineyards specialize in producing full-bodied zinfandel and petite sirah from old vines. The philosophy at Fife Vineyards is to let the grapes personality speak for themselves.
