The Three Village Inn is a landmark of historic Stony Brook, conveniently perched nearby the quaint shopping village, the Stony Brook Grist Mill and duck pond, and the harbor, all attractions for visitors traveling along Long Island’s scenic roads. One of the oldest inns on Long Island, the Three Village Inn proudly extends the invitation to enjoy brunch within the walls of this uniquely elegant old world establishment, where the décor and the charming, peaceful water view lies somewhere between New England and a traditional estate. A Manhattan-esque seafood restaurant may not be the first place to spring to mind when imagining great brunches, but Fiddleheads in Oyster Bay pulls off a highly successful brunch with classic style. Trendy and sophisticated, Fiddlehead’s is quite popular, and the steeped menu of brunch options allowing patrons the choice of different spending levels for brunch makes this restaurant a prime consideration for the Sunday meal. Prices for brunch begin at $15 and end at $22, with each level offering a delicious variety of options. At the $15 brunch, you can order traditional egg sandwiches, pancakes, burgers, paninis, and others. For a few dollars more, you can enjoy dishes such as Pan-Fried Catfish, Grilled Seafood Salad, Louisiana Crab Pancakes, and Skirt Steak and Eggs, among many others. Fiddleheads also features a children’s menu and a handful of side dishes (for an additional cost), and brunch includes coffee or tea and a complimentary cocktail.

Located adjacent to Republic Airport in Farmingdale, this themed restaurant transports you to a Disneyland version of World War II, with the outside façade complete with army vehicles, bomb-damaged walls, and other elements adding to the illusion. Inside, you’ll find walls adorned with soldiers pictures, old military posters, and a beautifully decorated restaurant and pub area with roaring fireplaces, comfortable couches, thick wood beams and rafters, and lots of World War II memorabilia, while out in the back, you can view authentic WWII fighter planes, and watch the takeoffs and landings of other planes at Republic Airport. The restaurant is uniquely relaxing, no thanks in part to the old 1940s music playing softly in the background. The Sunday brunch buffet offers a large selection of foods, including both breakfast and brunch entrees, a fresh seafood bar, and a bevy of international food stations, along with complimentary champagne.

Well-known in Nassau County for its pricey but prime steaks and comfortable, cozy atmosphere, despite its large size, Rothmann’s also hosts a Sunday brunch buffet. Dining in this warm, rich atmosphere is a treat, and the buffet menu, while not overly creative, is still adequately large enough and features enough variety to satisfy anyone. It’s the overall dining experience that is key here; to put it simply, enjoying very fine food in a very fine restaurant, a great tradition at Rothmann’s, where the staff works hard to ensure you leave wholly satisfied. The buffet includes an assortment of breakfast and brunch items, along with a chef’s carving board where you’ll be served cuts of meat that are simply out of this world, an authentic sushi station, and a number of additional hot and cold entrees. Dessert and unlimited beverages are also included.

An extensive, exciting menu and outstanding service make Jonathan’s Restaurant a must-visit, and Sunday brunch is a pleasant affair. The brunch menu offers an adequate sampling of dishes, reasonable priced, rather than a typical buffet style brunch. The dining room décor is a clever play at upscale diner meets trendy pub. The buffet menu offers a wide range of choices, from a variety of omelet’s to Salmon Pesto Capellini, gourmet style French toast and a special of the house, Chicken Jonathan’s. Included with your brunch is a Bloody Mary or mimosa, an assortment of rolls, muffins and bagels, and coffee or tea. The children’s menu offers all the favorites of the little ones. Great food and great prices, in a fine dining establishment make this brunch worthwhile.

Open only from March through September, La Motta’s is a highly popular eatery overlooking the waters of Manhasset Bay. While the overly large dining room is nautical-themed, there is a touch of modernism that keeps the restaurant firmly rooted in a safe place between kitsch and casual sophistication. The chefs at La Motta’s proudly prepare and serve fine gourmet American dishes with touches of various global influences, and Sunday Brunch is no exception. While you may not find anything overly creative at the brunch buffet, the fresh quality of the food and the large variety is sure to please. The large spread of food includes breads and pastries, pancakes and eggs, a create-your-own omelets station, a carving station, a number of seafood dishes, and sinful desserts. Enjoy the brunch either inside the grand dining room, or outside on the deck, enjoying the cool breezes coming in off the bay. Even during Sunday brunch, La Motta’s is a fun and lively place to be.

The dishes served at this restaurant are prepared by a top chef, and the exquisite gourmet Sunday brunch is a great way to sample a vast palette of wonderful food and flavor for a surprisingly reasonable price, considering the fine quality of food you’ll be happily dining on. The ambience at Stonewalls is simple yet effective, creating a relaxing atmosphere while at the same time perpetuating an element of class. Sunday brunch at Stonewalls is for parties of 10 or more, and features such dishes as Cured & Marinated Salmon, Escargot, seasonal soups, omelet’s, sirloin steak, and more, along with dessert, coffee or tea.

This wonderfully charming bistro makes its home in Huntington, providing suitable competition for the other restaurants that populate the town. The specialty of the house is fine French cuisine, and a friendly, comforting atmosphere. The rich browns and subtle decorative elements are reminiscent of a classic French bistro found in rural France or a small street in Paris. The management at Bistro Cassis wants you to have an authentic French bistro dining experience, and Sunday brunch successfully introduces classic French dishes alongside standard brunch fare. Aside from the traditional omelets, pancakes, and French toast, you’ll find unique dishes such as Tarte aux Oignons, Filet De Porc Rôti, an assortment of crepes, and more. The Sunday brunch at Bistro Cassis is a welcome introduction to French cuisine, and you’ll likely find yourself visiting again for dinner after a day of strolling about Huntington Village.

The Garden City Hotel bespeaks of impressively utilized decadence, being extravagant without crossing the realm into tacky and overpowering. The lush décor is impressive, and the Polo Restaurant certainly compliments the establishment and the clientele who visit and dine here. As the name implies, The Polo Restaurant warrants an equestrian theme, though it is subtle, with the main focus squarely on beautiful romanticism. It can tend to be a bit pricey for a casual brunch, though it’s perfect for a celebration or if you simply wish to treat yourself to a taste of the finer things in life. You’ll definitely need a reservation, and once you sample the menu, you’ll see why. While the food selection isn’t creatively enticing, there certainly is a lot of it, and it’s of the finest quality. Unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s are included, as well as coffee and tea.

Cuisine – English/Irish Pub For the ultimate experience in New England and Irish pub food served for Sunday brunch, you don’t need to travel to London or the Emerald Isle. Instead, seek out Paddy’s Loft in Massapequa, a traditional Irish pub with roots in Ireland and a festive atmosphere to match. Paddy’s Loft offers a very large menu for Sunday Brunch, complete with soups, salads, appetizers, an impressive selection of sandwiches and burgers, and of course, all the hearty pub food you could ever want to fill your gullet, including a traditional Irish breakfast complete with bangers, black and white pudding, and the rest of the trimmings. Irish bacon and eggs, and shepherds pie also grace the menu, along with a fair amount of tasty seafood entrees.
