The Top List of Veggie Restaurants - Salt Lake City, UT

Your guide to dining in Salt Lake City

by Jill O'Farrell & Heather King

As one might guess, Salt Lake City does not boast a wide variety of vegetarian restaurants, but what the city lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. For those who require a bit of clarification in terms of "vegan" versus "vegetarian", here are some helpful definitions:

Vegetarian: Animal products (dairy, eggs, honey, etc.) are eaten but not the actual animals themselves.

Vegan: No animals or animal products are consumed. No dairy, eggs, honey, rennet (animal enzymes used in making cheeses), or refined sugar (which may be processed with animal products). Very strict vegans may question the processing of wine and vinegar (could be filtered with animal products).
