Mario's of Boca has been a mainstay in Boca Raton for over 21 years. During the week, the restaurant wows the crowds with its famous lunch buffet. On Sundays, a sumptuous brunch takes center stage. The ample tables almost groan under the weight of eggs, pancakes, bagels, lox, breakfast meats and other standard brunch fare. Mario's signature salads are also in evidence, including the ever-popular Gorgonzola house salad. Garlic rolls and breadsticks make a great accompaniment to the salad. The restaurant is located in the former home of Delray Beach's first mayor and his large family and both the Victorian mansion and surrounding grounds have been painstakingly restored. This one's worth the trip! Sunday brunch at the Indiantown's Seminole Country Inn is a tribute to wholesome, old-fashioned American cooking. Everything on the buffet line - from appetizers to desserts - is fresh and simple and tastes as if it was prepared from scratch. The biscuits are served steamy hot and are so flaky and delicious that it's easy to lose track of how many you've consumed. Almost as tasty are the homemade breads and muffins. Waffles are served up hot off the griddle. Want an omelet? Just about every filling you can imagine is available. John G's is an in institution in the Palm Beaches! For more than 30 years, folks from the south and north reaches of the county have driven to the small restaurant on weekends and then waited patiently for a table. Why? The food and friendly service are always outstanding. The menu boasts specialty favorites like Cinnamon-Nut French Toast, a croissant stuffed with scrambled eggs, chopped ham, and then covered with cheese sauce and eggs nestled next to a mound of fresh mushrooms. Hash brown potatoes, covered with melted cheese and then topped with 2 basted eggs will stick to your ribs for the rest of the day. Breakfast/brunch is served only until noon on the weekends so plan to arrive early just in case you have to wait a bit to be seated.
