I work downtown and I visit a lot of restaurants. Occasionally, I like to go to Zuzu's, where I always order a caprese panini and a small Caesar salad. They have lots of panini choices, very fresh salads and interesting light lunches, as well as many types of coffees, teas and wines. The are located at the front of Constitution Plaza, at 1 Constitution Plaza, in downtown Hartford. Service is quick and prices are a little-bit high.

Zuzu's is okay and I go there sometimes, but I also regularly go to the Red Plate, at 253 Asylum Street, across from the Hartford Civic Center. Their Caprese panini's and Caesar salads are always fresh and delicious. Plus, they serve pizza, subs, pasta and entrees. Their cheesecake is awesome and they also have a full bar. Prices are pretty good at the Red Plate, but service is often sub- par.

Sometimes, I too go to Zuzu's for lunch. I also work downtown and am constantly in search of good salads and panini sandwiches. You're both right, the Caesar Salad at Zuzu's is very good and their panini's are large and flavorful. I love their coffees and breakfast treats, but I think that the atmosphere could be friendlier. The prices are also a little bit high, but it is downtown.
