The Taj Mahal is one of the best known Indian resturants around here. I now know why, it is the service, food, and intimate setting in which you dine. The Tandoori Chicken and Madras Soup is fabulous.

I completely agree with you. I first starting going there almost 20 years ago and, at the time, it was almost impossible to find Chicken Shahi Korma. Many Indian restaurants had beef/pork fixed this way, but for some reason the chicken was much more difficult to find. And they do a very good job with it - the sauce isn't overly sweet. I would also recommend the tandoori prawns.
The "extras" excel at this restaurant, too, especially the chutneys that accompany the bread. I've only been to 2 other Indian restaurants in Dallas, but this one was in a separate class entirely.

I'll add my thumbs-up for Taj Mahal, and add that they have a lunch buffet that is a VERY good deal, with lots of fresh choices, including some vegetarian options. It's a great way for someone who's new to Indian food to get their feet wet.
